This is a junior to mid-level tester and analyst position for financial modeling applications. A successful candidate will work in an Agile scrum team, conducting testing of the financial modeling applications. The position will participate in developing requirements and user stories as well. This entails having a detailed understanding of the business requirements and user stories, developing test cases, creating test scripts, executing test cases, analyzing test results using SQL, Python, and other tools, and reporting testing status to management. He/she must ensure the application meets the business requirements and adhere to the project testing schedule. He/she must have strong communication skills and interpersonal skills. He/she must be a self-starter who can drive the process to success without supervision. He/she needs to have strong analytical skills and sound judgment and can make fast decisions without complete information.
Qualifications:
- BS. or M.S. in computer science, finance, statistics, applied math or engineering
- 1+ year of experience in software development, analysis and/or testing
- 2+ experience working with SQL, Unix/Linux, Oracle
- Software programming experiences helpful
- Experience working in an Agile development team a plus
- Experience with fixed income products pricing (MBS, CMO, Debt, Derivatives) highly desired
- Passing of CFA I, or FRM I a plus
- AWS experience a plus
- Must have strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Must be a self-starter and a quick learner
