Data Analyst Specialist at Freddie Mac

Job Description:

This is a full-time consulting position working onsite Freddie Mac in McLean Virginia to manage their mortgage data database and conduct data analysis to provide business insights.

Job Responsibility:

• Conduct data analysis to provide actionable insights for the business.
• Assist business areas with their information needs.
• Execute regular and ad hoc reporting tools for analysis.
• Design, prototype, develop, test, and document existing/new ETLs, and related components; make recommendations for related functions that result in a more cost-effective product delivery.
• Develop/maintain internal databases and conduct routine maintenance as needed to ensure data integrity.
• Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data.
• Manage all incoming data files from internal and external sources.

Qualifications:

• At least two years of related data management/data analysis experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometric or other quantitative disciplines
• Proficiency with UNIX and SQL.
• Strong programming skills in at least one language. (#SAS, #Python)
• Exceptional quantitative and data analytics skills
• Experience in ETL tool & Autosys is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, great teammate and understanding of mortgage servicing.
• Strong problem-solving skills, Self-starter that takes initiative to fill in gaps where needed.
