What is a winning resume?
A winning resume conveys who you are not just what you did. It should have something that stands out. A strong summary at the beginning regarding your unique quality goes a long way to impress the hire manager. It should be one or at most two lines. However, if you feel you cannot write a summary that makes you stand out, omit this section. Good schools are eye-catching. Internship in a U.S. company that is hard to get in should add to your credential.
If you have impressive hobbies, you should add it to the end. For example, if you ran Boston marathon, make sure you show it on your resume.
On format, it does not need to be fancy but should be eye pleasing and not overly crowded.
