Looking for a full-time consultant to provide hands-on leadership in the analysis and testing financial pricing applications at Fannie Mae.

Job Description

  • Act as a lead or key person in the user acceptance testing team, report to the business manager and be accountable for test planning and test executions.
  • Serve as POC of the team to work with stakeholders on the assigned project.
  • Provide project guidance and necessary assistance to team members/other contractors on the project.
  • Coordinate with and support other business leads of other projects.
  • Work closely with the technology and business Project Manager to ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Experienced interacting/coordinating with Stakeholders, Business Process Owners and business subject matter experts.
  • Ability to learn quickly the business and system methodologies and processes at a high level.
  • Ability to perform gap analysis, write test cases, perform testing, and document the results.
  • Familiar with SDLC and application development controls and oversight.

Communication

  • Facilitate team meetings and/or meetings with other business, technology and system testing teams effectively.
  • Effectively communicate relevant project and testing information to management.Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
  • Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
  • Outstanding listening skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels of the program.

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 5+ years of working experience in a major financial institution, with a deep,understanding of Mortgage Finance and the Secondary Mortgage Market.
  • Good understanding of fixed-income pricing concepts (Securities, Loans, Debt, and Derivatives), securitization, financial modeling, and also possess experience with documenting business requirements and testing results.
  • Fluent in running SQL queries with complex data sets in multiple databases, ability to run shell scripts.
  • Excellent analytical, teaming, and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to coordinate and/or lead meetings.
  • Experience with MS Project, MS Office toolset, and SharePoint.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with coding and/or architectural designs.
  • Experience with TOAD, JIRA/Confluence or related software tools.
  • Understanding of the system development life cycle methodology.
  • Experience in fixed income assets pricing.
  • VBA, XML, UNIX and scripting experience is a plus.
  • Have experience with high volume of data manipulation; comparing and analyzing of these data.
