Looking for a full-time consultant to provide hands-on leadership in the analysis and testing financial pricing applications at Fannie Mae.
Job Description
- Act as a lead or key person in the user acceptance testing team, report to the business manager and be accountable for test planning and test executions.
- Serve as POC of the team to work with stakeholders on the assigned project.
- Provide project guidance and necessary assistance to team members/other contractors on the project.
- Coordinate with and support other business leads of other projects.
- Work closely with the technology and business Project Manager to ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
Subject Matter Expertise
- Experienced interacting/coordinating with Stakeholders, Business Process Owners and business subject matter experts.
- Ability to learn quickly the business and system methodologies and processes at a high level.
- Ability to perform gap analysis, write test cases, perform testing, and document the results.
- Familiar with SDLC and application development controls and oversight.
Communication
- Facilitate team meetings and/or meetings with other business, technology and system testing teams effectively.
- Effectively communicate relevant project and testing information to management.Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
- Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
- Outstanding listening skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels of the program.

Qualifications
Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- 5+ years of working experience in a major financial institution, with a deep,understanding of Mortgage Finance and the Secondary Mortgage Market.
- Good understanding of fixed-income pricing concepts (Securities, Loans, Debt, and Derivatives), securitization, financial modeling, and also possess experience with documenting business requirements and testing results.
- Fluent in running SQL queries with complex data sets in multiple databases, ability to run shell scripts.
- Excellent analytical, teaming, and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to coordinate and/or lead meetings.
- Experience with MS Project, MS Office toolset, and SharePoint.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with coding and/or architectural designs.
- Experience with TOAD, JIRA/Confluence or related software tools.
- Understanding of the system development life cycle methodology.
- Experience in fixed income assets pricing.
- VBA, XML, UNIX and scripting experience is a plus.
- Have experience with high volume of data manipulation; comparing and analyzing of these data.
