This is consulting position at Fannie Mae to conduct analysis and development of business requirements for financial modeling systems. Ideal candidate would be a computer system analyst with financial fixed income knowledge or a business analyst with finance knowledge and good understanding of complex computer systems.
Job Duty
- Understand and collect business requirements from bond and derivative traders and other business users
- Analyze and break down the business requirements to implementable user stories and document them for developers to implement
- Develop and execute user test cases to ensure that business requirements are implemented correctly
- Interface among traders, other business users and developers to facilitate communication and streamline processes
Qualifications:
- B.S/M.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Financial Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience on software system analysis and requirements development, preferably in Agile environment
- 1+ years of experience conducting data analysis
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, able to break down a complex problem to simple management ones.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to organize meetings, collect requirements, ask critical questions, and author clear, concise and correct user stories.
- Ability to translate high-level business requirements into functional system requirements
- Experience with SQL and or other data analysis tools are required
- Experience with Unix/Linux and other programming languages is a plus
- Fixed income knowledge is highly desirable. Passing of CFA I/II/III exam a plus
- Must be a quick learner and willing and able to learn on the fly
